Brooks Kids is the pediatric practice of Dr. Benjamin Brooks, M.D.

Brooks Kids is an evidence-based medicine facility.  This means, Dr. Brooks will do his best to prescribe medications, therapy, laboratories, imaging or other interventions based on the industry standards, research data and recommendations per the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Brooks is a pediatrician, board-certified by The American Board of Pediatrics.  His medical training was completed through The University of Illinois College of Medicine at Champaign-Urbana/Rockford followed by residency training at The University of Illinois Hospitals in Chicago.  He is currently a fellow of The American Academy of Pediatrics, and is a member of The Illinois State Medical Society.

Upon matriculation, Dr. Brooks worked for The Community Health Improvement Center for three years before making the decision to found Brooks Kids on his own.  He has experience in managing a host of childhood maladies from newborns to teens and has privileges at both Decatur Memorial Hospital as well as Saint Mary's Hospital.  In his new practice he hopes to develop more as a pediatrician and pursue his passions: anticipatory guidance and preventative medicine.
